Sườn Xào Chua Ngọt - Vietnamese Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs
Pork spare ribs, bell peppers, carrots, and tomatoes, all coated in a secret sweet-and-sour sauce. SO GOOD!

Main ingredients
- 1.5 lb Pork spare ribs
- 1 onion
- 2 Medium Bell Peppers
- 1/2 Medium Carrots
- 1/2 a piece of ginger
- 3 Cloves of Garlic
- 3 Stalks of green onions/ Scallions
- Fish sauce
- Oyster sauce
- Tomato sauce
- Chili sauce
- Salt, Black pepper, MSG, Vinegar or Apple cider vinegar
Sauce
- 2 tbsp Tomato sauce
- 4 tbsp Chilli sauce
- 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp Fish sauce
- 2 tbsp Vinegar/ Apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp MSG
- 1 tsp Granulated sugar
Cut the pork ribs into bite-size pieces
Add smashed ginger and water to a pot and bring to a boil. Add the chopped pork ribs and parboil for 1 minute, then remove to drain
Slice bell pepper, tomatoes, carrots and onions into 1x2 inches, and chop the onion core to prepare to marinate the ribs
Mix minced garlic and chopped onion with water, then drain the liquid to marinate the parboiled pork ribs for 15 minutes
Combine the tomato sauce, chilli sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, white vinegar, black pepper, MSG, and sugar in a small bowl, then stir until dissolved
Fry the marinated pork ribs until golden brown, then let them sit for 10 minutes
In a non-stick pan over medium-high heat, add the minced garlic and chopped onion and fry until golden, then add the fried pork ribs and chopped vegetables to stir-fry. Add the sauce and stir to coat the pork ribs and vegetables
Garnish with green onions and serve
